The Basics
Okay, so I admit. My closet lacked one of the most basics of basic that all women should have hanging in their closet- the white button down. I was out shopping for a fun colored shirt to brighten my mood because I've been down a little lately about the usual woman issues. (Nothing fits, my clothes are old, I need something new.) You know the story. Anyway, I was looking around the department store and I ran across a rack of white button downs of all styles - long sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless. I picked up a long sleeve one for the heck of it and tried it on. It looked great on me. Score! So, I purchased it on sell from JcPenney for $17.99. So, that got me thinking. The white button down is so classic and simple yet has so many uses. I put together a few different ways to wear this staple item. I highly recommend that anyone out there that does not own one, make it your next shopping mission to find one that suits you!
I'm calling this 'Zoo Day'. It's a great twist on the white button down by adding some girly frills. This look is perfect for going somewhere casual where you need to be comfortable but you still want to look cute. Plus, if you're going to the zoo you'll release your inner animal with these zebra print flats and snake bangles.

New & Improved: What Not To Wear

So my love affair with What Not To Wear has recently been enhanced. No special little pill required. If you haven't noticed, now at the end of every episode, they proudly display all of the clien'ts *new* clothes and shoes on garment racks and say how many shirts/pants/shoes etc. they were able to buy with their $5,000, and how many outfits they are able to make out of them. I think this is incredibly neat, and I have always wondered exactly how far $5000 during two days of shopping in the NYC would get you. Very cool, and much more than I though. After watching a few of the episodes from this new season, I decided to take another look around the WNTW website and see if anything was new there. Boy, was I surprised. In addition to new short videos on anything from undergarments to dressing for an interview, there was also a complete breakdown of the previous week's purchases! Every dime that was spent in each store, and each garment that was bought, as well as shoes and accessories. It even has the breakdown of what Stacy and Clinton was wearing! Definitely must check it out.....
One more reason why I wish we had an H & M

Would you wear: Cage Heels?
The ever increasingly popular cage heel. Would you wear it? This new trend made popular by many celebrities, namely Kim Kardashian, has quickly exploded the fashion scene. In my personal opinion, I don't have the legs to pull them off. They definitly draw attention to your feet, and their banding up high around the ankle cuts your leg off. If you are on the cage heel wagon, there are many alternatives to the YSL version above ($1,290) that you can find very reasonably.
Getting the hang of things...

So, as you can see our blog is small and a little disfunctional at the moment. We're just learning how to work with fun features that will help us deliver an even better blog in the future. So, we apologize for the "under construction" feel and the sudden changes you my find every time you visit our site. Keep in mind we're new to this.
As you can see, most of our posts have been beauty product reviews, but we will be delivering other things such as articles about fashion and life as a redhead. If we haven't covered something that you need help with, don't hesitate to drop us a comment or e-mail and we'll get right on that!
Just wanted to throw this out there to you guys! Have a great day.

What to Wear to Work?
Summer time is rolling around and the weather is heating up. It's time to really overhaul that wardrobe and tuck away that dark drab and bring out the color! Color for a redhead can be a scary thing, but Meredith and I are going to bring you a few ideas for a fun, functional work wardrobe. We're going to start off by going with a wardrobe we know best - business casual. Having a business casual dress code allows freedom to dress it up or dress it down. Here are a few great alternatives to change over that winter business wear to a fun Spring time ensemble.
This is a great look for Spring. It's even one that can easily change from Winter to Spring. Take those tights and knee-high boots you were wearing during the cold and toss them into your closet. Pair a great looking black dress with some nude pumps (a total must have in ever classy girls closet). Sinch that waist together with a fabulous oversized belt to give you some curves and grab a fashionable bag to pull it all together.
Love these shoes!
Great Loose Powder

I love to use loose powder on my face to set my foundation and get that great matte look. My favorite loose powder is Mabelline's. I buy it in translucent, so I can use it year round. They also make a light and a medium. The texture is really fine and silky. I do not use the pouf that comes with it; I apply with a brush. It also adds a little extra coverage to my foundation. It is also cheap, which is great for the budget minded like myself! It is around $4-5 at Wal-Mart.
